Do you share?

I know the statistics.

1 in 6.

I know that number is smaller than this now.

I know how comforting it is to meet someone else "like me".

Am I the only one though to offer up every opportunity I get that Little Miss was a long awaited gift?

I hate the feeling of knowing that when we're out and about we will encounter someone be it if we know so or not, who is impacted by infertility.

I hate the idea of them looking upon Little Miss with broken hearts and us with envy.  I want to offer up a hug and tell them that I know the valley depths of heartache and the mountain top high joy that comes with infertility.

Instead, I want Little Miss to be a beacon of hope...  Hope that God is still in the miracle business.  She's proof positive.

I yearn for people to know our story so they can, hopefully, be encouraged.

To know that they are not alone on the journey.

To make the topic of infertility no longer taboo.

Do you take the opportunity to offer up that infertility struck you too?

I do. Well more about my miscarriages as people have a hard time "buying" infertility from a woman with 2 kids that are only a couple of years apart.

Because, more often than not, they or someone they know had a miscarriage or multiple losses. It isn't a fun club to belong to but it feels better when we can all pull together and not feel so alone.

Good job being open about infertility. I guarantee it is helping those women!
