Feeling Good!

After the horrid ovary ultrasound, Charles and I immediately decided we were done with hotel foods! We made a grocery list and for the first time, we went shopping at Whole Foods!

I cannot even begin to say how much of a relief it was in knowing that each and every single item we placed into the cart was good for us, well, maybe not the Ben and Jerry's ice cream... No preservatives. No "bad" things. Grass fed beef. Organic turkey and chicken. Lots of fresh and organic fruits. We walked out with our heads held a little higher knowing we are making positive changes not only for us but Little miss too!

Two highlights of the trip? Tomatoes and black beans in cans... NOPE! Boxes!

I'm so that mom... I figure why do something half way? I want to get rid of her plastic feeding items and get the Duralex shatterproof kid sets, test our dishes for lead and replace as needed along with her toys and bath toys... That's my starting point. I want to be healthy. Have a healthy home. Raise a healthy daughter. These are the little things that I can control unlike so many other things in life.

Good for you and Charles. It is so easy to get caught up in the convenience and cost factors. It happens to me more often than I like to admit. I am sorry that your ovaries had to be things to clue you in to the needed change.
Sh*t Crunchy Mamas Say... I love that video!! I watched it 3 times this weekend just to catch all the things she says. Crunchy is a good thing.
