My Ovaries know...

So many titles will be appropriate for this blog but I am sticking with this one. It's true though. My ovaries cannot be fouled. As seen yesterday. :-(

So after having "cyclical" cramping every 30-45 days without a period for the last 6 months, I decided to had to the wanna-have-a-baby-Dr {AKA RE} to have a check on what's going on inside there... I knew deep down my lack of period was not related to extended breastfeeding but something more. And I was right.

That, my friends, is exactly what each of my ovaries looked like. Like a sack of different sized marbles where my ovaries once were. :-( No wonder the cramps. The bloating. The discomfort. My ovaries have not been that enlarged since we had to cancel our last Follistim cycle due to 10,000+ estrogen levels! That sucked. This sucks worse though as it isn't going away! At least not as things currently are...

Back when our infertility journey first began in 2006, I had no clue what my body was doing. I hadn't reached the "in tune" stage yet. When I had my yearly appt at the gyno later that year, the ultrasound showed a very similar cystic ovaries. I immediately cut out all estrogen packed foods and every ultrasound since then was normal. {Another blog post on that one...}

Since living in the hotel we've been eating their foods. Breakfast 7 days a week, dinner 4 days a week. Obviously, they use the hormone packed foods because they are cheaper. I get that. But boy are they destroying my body! I can't imagine what they are doing to Little Miss' growing little body...

So Charles and I decided right then and there that we are no longer eating crap and will be back 100% on organic, all natural foods. I'm hopeful that this in itself will get me back to "normal" and we can thus begin our full on trying to conceive a sibling for Little Miss! I'm hopeful anyways...

Oh yikes! :( I know changing my diet has only helped my endometriosis pain, I only hope it's also preventing it from continuing to spread as well. I'm gluten free for the most part and when I slip up and have some wheat I definitely feel it! Hopefully your body will respond to the diet changes quickly!
